ZTE V9 Mobile Phone Review

ZTE V9 Mobile Phone Review

Some people think that a mobile phone is just a luxurious thing to carry around, that’s one of the reasons why they’re buying the newest smartphone releases. However, not all these smartphones are created as a fashion item, some are just created for their actual use, and that’s being a mobile phone. Yes, some features such as Wifi and mobile data are necessities and you really can’t live without them if you’re running a business mostly from your smartphone. If you’re interested in a resistant and durable smartphone then follow the ZTE V9 Mobile Phone Review till the end and see if this phone is your choice or not.

Design and display

ZTE Blade V9 has a very interesting design. The front and back sides are covered with glass with the metal frame staying under the glass design. Its bezels are not as large as the top bezel holds up the front camera and earpiece while the bottom bezel stays empty. Keep in mind that the back of the smartphone acts as the home to the dual camera setup, LED flash, the fingerprint sensor and the ZTE logo. The power button and volume keys appear to be on the smartphone’s right side. The smartphone has a weight of 140g. this device’s dimensions are 151.4 mm length, 70.6 mm width and 7.5 mm thickness. ZTE Blade V9 has two color options which are Black and Gold.

The screen size has a large 5.7 inches In-cell touch display. This IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen has a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. The sharpness of the ZTE’s display gets even better with the 424 PPI pixel density. The display contains added spice as a result of the 2.5D Curved Glass and its 18:9 aspect ratio and also the screen-to-body ratio of the smartphone lies at 78.5%.

Software

This device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset which is equipped with the Octa-core 1.8GHz ARM Cortex-A53. This 64-bit processor makes a good use of the 28nm process technology. When it comes to the graphics region, Qualcomm Adreno 506 GPU takes the whole responsibility of graphics. To show off the updated nature of this ZTE Blade V9, Android 8.0 Oreo OS is what runs on it, this OS comes along with the MiFavor UI. The smartphone has three variants in the RAM and ROM categories. The smartphone has 2GB, 3GB and 4GB in the RAM region, I don’t recall ever seeing a 3BG RAM before, and it also comes with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB in the ROM region. If we wanna talk about the storage of this phone, then the internal storage can still be expanded to 64GB with the adoption of a microSD card.

Camera performance

“Picture perfect dual camera” – this is how ZTE presents Blade V9’s photographic capability and what we guessed to be their Camera motto. Given the price point we do not expect miracles but looking at the specs the smartphone seems to promise much and keeps up with the competition.

The main camera performance which are located on the phone’s back, consist of two sensors, one with 16 MP and one with 5 MP, both with 6 component lenses for less distortion and better performance. Only the 16 MP camera has PDAF 2.0 autofocus, while the second camera has fixed focus and is only used for shooting with bokeh effect and portrait mode. The front camera is 13 MP and has fixed focus.

ZTE provides this smartphone with photo software that offers quite a lot of functions such as portrait modes, variable aperture (software), night mode, manual mode and others. The results won’t leave you shocked and ultra satisfied, but the performance in low light is more than acceptable.

When it comes to the bokeh mode and portrait mode, you clearly won’t expect the best shots to be taken, but we gotta admit that the shots taken with the main camera of the Blade V9 are interesting. In good lighting, the photos are more than okay, the colors are correctly represented and the details are visible and distinguished.

Battery

The battery of this smartphone has 3,200 mAh, which will get you through the day. Also, we have to add that we’re extremely satisfied with the phone’s stand-by. Not only does it have more capacity than the Galaxy S9’s battery, but the lower-power SoC also enables plenty of autonomy.

With normal use, you can safely reach two days of autonomy (normal use means just calling and medium data usage), perhaps even three if you’re thrifty. The situation is different if you’re a gamer and pushing the battery to its limits: in this case you can still get to the evening with your battery, but it’s better to recharge your smartphone at night, so it won’t completely drain until the next day. You should also be extra careful to maintain a healthy battery life so it will hold for at least 2 years.

Some of these phones are excellent, I believe this one is too. If you’re looking for a phone to meet your general standards, then this is your solution. However, you can still opt for phones such as OnePlus 6 which is a bit more of a “robot” and a “fashion piece” but I think for this price, this phone is brilliant.
