UMIDIGI X Smartphone Review
Umidigi X was launched in 2019. It comes with a 6.35” display and the smartphone is powered by a Mediatek Helio P60 MT6771 chipset, with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage.
Design and display
The smartphone has a plastic body, and it is a little disappointing. But its dimensions are 158.6 x 75.6 x 8.1 mm and is thick of just 8.1 mm, and it weighs 195 grams. It has a sturdy and thick aluminum frame while the back is in glossy colors. This gives a premium look.
We have to mention that the device comes in two colors – like a tribute to the fantasy show, Game of Thrones. It comes in inflame black – which is black with red accents, in tone with Daenerys horde; and breathing crystal – which is sky blue with a purple accent, in tone with John Snow’s Winterfell. According to the breathing crystal color, we can say that it looks a little like Elephone PX, but there is a single similarity between the two devices.
The phone has a 6.35” custom-built AMOLED display, with HD plus resolution, and it has a super-bright display that delivers more stunning colors like never. It has an immersive visual experience with better color accuracy; deeper blacks, a better color reproduction, improved contrast, and best of all is bright enough to use outdoors easily.
The screen is vivid and very colorful. The screens viewing angles help you enjoy a wider gaming experience that you can’t have on other budget smartphones. There is no significant input lag regarding the touch sensitivity and no hectic vibration, while typing is on a different level. The edges of the display is much thinner than expected, to enhance your viewing experience.
The smartphone also comes with the latest optical in-screen fingerprint sensor by Goodix; the company which brings the best in-screen fingerprint technology.
It comes with an upgraded recognition algorithm, screen unlock is faster and more secure. With this feature, Umidigi X makes the future technology available to everyone.

The Umidigi X comes with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage. Its Android stock experience is superb, and it is merely competent enough to open apps and games quick.

Camera
The Umidigi X is equipped with the industry-leading 48MP ultra clarity camera, which delivers a super high resolution. Together with the improved AI algorithms, the pictures are more detailed and vivid.
The company is making its camera a primary selling point, with the S5KGM1 from Samsung, a 48-MP camera with ƒ/1.79 aperture. This comes along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera and the third one of 5MP AI-ready depth sensors.
The camera of the smartphone is also having an autofocus. Autofocus is a feature that fine-tunes the focus of the camera, and it is a pleasant feature of this smartphone.
With the large aperture along with the Al engine, the Umidigi X takes the night mode experience to another level, bringing you the clear and bright images even in low light conditions. The ultra-wide-angle lenses are making quick work of any panoramic shots. It has an incredible 120° ultra-wide-angle lens that allows you to capture as wide as your eyes can see. The primary camera takes beautiful sharp shots.
UMIDIGI X has better video stability in camera than their competitors, but the camera does not support the 4k resolution.
The front camera owns a Samsung S5K3P3 16 MP mobile image sensor and 5-element lens, with a ƒ/2.0 aperture that helps you get stunning and natural selfies all day.
With such a capable technology, taking amazing selfies and using the Face Unlock security is not a problem at all.
Conclusions
The back of the smartphone is a fingerprint magnet that attracts a lot of smudges. I highly recommend it to use a case to avoid significant smudges. This smartphone does not use gorilla glass protection on the back. So, its safety depends only on you.
There are a few Pros for this phone. The first one I can say is the huge storage of 128GB followed by the significant battery power, especially if you are one of those heavy users; and the 18-watt fast charging support comes perfectly with the rest of the features. Also, the big AMOLED display is perfect for gaming and videos. So yes, this device is a very price-efficient one.
We had the cons too for this device. And we can start with the super-bright display, which consumes a little more battery than it would be necessary. If you are a big gamer it would disappoint you a little, because gaming is good, but just on medium graphics. There is also the fact that the device doesn’t support the 4k resolution, but I am not sure if this affects you.
The Umidigi X is embracing all the features for a budget-friendly price; and you can buy it from Aliexpress or Banggood at a good price.
